The Corona Chronicles, part eleven

The Corona Chronicles, part eleven

This piece is called ‘tlephone doodle’. What do doodles have to do with corona, I hear you thinking when you see the title of this post.  I’ll explain.
A ‘doodle’ is a thoughless scribble that you make on some lost piece of paper or in the marges of a report. Maybe you make them while being in a boring meeting.  I tend to make them while on the phone. Not that I am bored at that moment. It actually helps me to concentrate and listen better.
Usually my telephone doodles are small and not more then a couple of lines. That is because I don’t like telephone calls very much, to be honest.
However in these corona filled days, now that contact in person is rare, I tend to be more on the telephone and also much, much longer.
And so this doodle is the result of telephone talks with my sons and sister. Long phonecalls result in elaborate doodles so to see.
Have a good day!

The Corona Chronicles, part ten

The Corona Chronicles, part ten

Do you remember? Just a gathering on the street and having a conversation in person?
About a month ago this was completely normal. You met people by accident, you talked in groups, hugged each other, slapped each other on the back and kissed goodbye.
One day, my friends, it will be like that again!

some golden birds for the weekend

some golden birds for the weekend

It took a lot of struggle with photoshop to merge two images together. But I did it! And I learned a lot along the way.
Have a great weekend, everybody!
Stay safe, stay in your own tree…

Little dragon

Little dragon

Look, what I found between the flowers in the garden!
Just because I needed it, I made you something with a lot of color.
Enjoy it!

The Corona Chronicles, part eight

The Corona Chronicles, part eight

While I was working on this little painting the words came floating in. ‘Remember life…’, I heard wispering. I wrote it down. ‘Remember life..’  It is as if I want to send the birds a message. I seem to be waving them goodbye as they are flying away. Their wings of not knowing what is happening to humanity right now, bring them wherever they want to go. Maybe they fly more free, much lighter now, because they don’t need to compete with these  other stinky birds that we tend to send into the air. ‘Remember life…’, is a reminder for me, for us…
Life is important, I don’t know why, but it is!

Terwijl ik werkte aan dit schilderijtje kwamen binnen zweven. ‘Remember life…’, hoorde ik iets fluisteren. Ik schreef het op. ‘Remember life..’

The Corona Chronicles, part seven

The Corona Chronicles, part seven

I always start my day with making art. That art usually turns out to be about what’s playing in my mind. These days that is mostly corona, like with everybody else, I guess. So here is my seventh doodle on the disease.
